Thursday Charter Market  8am-4pm Sandbach Market Hall, High Street, Scotch Common, Little Common and more!

Friday Market 9am-2pm             Sandbach Market Hall

Saturday Market 8am-4pm               In and around Sandbach Market Hall

Sandbach has been a market town since the 1579 when it was granted a Royal Charter by Elizabeth I due to the petitioning of Sir John Radclyffe (the owner of the Old Hall)

The Charter also granted the town the right to hold two annual fairs, which lasted for two days, and were held around Easter and early September.

Today the Thursday market is still held outdoors on Scotch Common and around the Town Hall.

The Charter Market has taken many forms over the years from livestock, produce and crafts to celebration markets and today’s selection of traditional markets and specialist markets.
Thursday is our main market day when up to 80 stalls are erected around the Town Centre and in the Market Hall offering everything from household goods, electrical items, books, fabrics, clothes, meat, fish and gift items. The Market has recently been expanded to include pitches on the High Street and Cobbled Square to truly bring the Market into the Town Centre.
Every second Saturday of the month, the Makers Market visits the Town with their eclectic mix of hand crafted products, crafts, gifts and confectionery.
